Te Puea wants the world for her grandchildren’s’ grandchildren to be a great time and place to be in and that they understand who they belong to. Te Puea is a Director at Turuki Health Care. Turuki Health Care provides integrated primary health and social services to Maori and Pacific families in South Auckland, New Zealand. Their focus is supporting women to raise healthy families and that families are able to access the services they need to be well.
Prior to working at Turuki Health care, Te Puea worked as a private consultant.
In addition to her current role, Te puea is also the chair of Te Rau Matatini, which is a national Maori Health workforce Development Center. She is also the community member on two committees for the Royal Australia and New Zealand college of Psychiatry. Te Puea is also the co-founder of Te Ira, an organization working with families who have been impacted by the justice system and the CEO of the Te Ira Steering Group. And lastly, she is also member CEO of the Kotahitanga Whanau Ora Collective.
Te Puea was born in Auckland, New Zealand and calls it her home.
