Perennial Fellowship

The Perennial Fellowship is an immersive, in-person training experience designed around the foundational concepts presented in The Soil of Leadership: Cultivating the Conditions for Transformation. Rooted in reflection, awareness, and social construction, the Fellowship provides a transformative space where leaders can rethink, renew, and reconstruct how they approach leadership in a way that is both personally sustainable and collectively impactful.

At its core, the Fellowship is built on the understanding that wellbeing is not an afterthought in leadership—it is fundamental to its effectiveness and longevity. Leaders today face unprecedented challenges, and without the inner capacities, reflective practices, and sustainable approaches to leadership, even the most passionate changemakers risk burnout. The Perennial Fellowship provides the space and structure for leaders to pause, reconnect with their purpose, and cultivate practices that sustain both themselves and their work over the long term.

Through a process of conscious reconstruction, fellows engage in deep exploration of their own leadership perspectives, uncovering what no longer serves them, and rebuilding leadership practices that align with their values, strengths, and aspirations. The program creates an experiential learning environment where participants engage in dialogue, peer-led exploration, and immersive practices that strengthen their ability to navigate complexity and lead with clarity, resilience, and relational wisdom. Unlike traditional leadership training, the Perennial Fellowship does not focus on prescriptive models or technical skills. Instead, it nurtures the soil of leadership itself, helping participants cultivate the conditions that allow transformation to take root—in themselves, their communities, and the systems they seek to change.

Participants leave the Fellowship with more than new insights—they emerge with a renewed sense of clarity, balance, and purpose. They become part of a growing movement of leaders who understand that true leadership is not about constant striving, but about sustaining the practices that allow for deep, meaningful, and enduring impact. The Perennial Fellowship is more than a program—it is an invitation to reawaken the roots of leadership and cultivate a new way forward.

The time commitment necessary to join the Perennial Online Fellowship is of 10 to 15 hours per week, during 6 weeks. The program has 2-3 live Zoom calls per week of 2 to 2.5 hours each, as well as aditional offline learnings. All participants are expected to fully participate in each and every program activity. Activities not related to the fellowship, including phone calls and answering emails, are highly discouraged if they conflict with a program call.

Depending on the country of origin, estimated costs per Fellow for program participation are $5,000 USD.

We understand that not everyone has the resources nor the institutional partners to cover the full costs for participation in the Perennial Fellowship. For this reason, Perennial works very hard with foundations and supporters to ensure that the full burden of program participation does not fall entirely on each individual. Depending on each individual’s needs and the resources available from our Perennial Fund we are able to provide support through a scholarship. Please let us know your needs when applying for the program and we will proceed accordingly.
