Obed strives to be an effective social change leader that impacts grassroots organizations and communities in a sustainable way that fosters total transformation. Obed is the founder and the Executive Director of Action for Community Development (ACODEV). ACODEV works to empower communities to achieve sustainable transformation in areas of health, human rights, and sustainable livelihood. They do this through promoting maternal, newborn and child health, child protection, human rights and sustainable livelihood development.

Having founded ACODEV in 2003, Obed has dedicated most of his professional life in expanding ACODEV’s reach. ACODEV also builds capacity of grassroots organizations through the Africa Centre for Leadership Development, an initiative started by Obed.

In addition to his role in ACODEV, Obed is currently on the board of two other organizations in Uganda. He is also a senior part-time Lecturer for a masters program at Uganda Christian University. Obed holds a Bachelor degree in Community Leadership and Development, a Masters in Public Health Leadership, and a Executive Leadership for Non-profit certificate from Stanford University. He is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Nonprofit and Public Leadership from Seattle University.

Obed was born in Kasese district in Western Uganda and calls it him home.
